Your membership begins in September of each year. We definitely love early music, and the EBRS is an Affiliate of the San Francisco Early Music Society as well as being a Chapter of the American Recorder Society, but we do not limit ourselves.  Any good piece written for the recorder is worth our attention.

Join us and you will find the East Bay Recorder Society is an active group full of lively people who love to play the recorder (and other instruments too, which we particularly include in occasional “collegium” playing sessions and at member recitals).

We have nine or ten chapter meeting/playing sessions a year conducted by professionals who provide us with delightfully different music each month. We normally hold at least one member's recital every year. We often have a summer picnic, play-in and potluck (photo from a prior summer's play-in below). We electronically publish a monthly newsletter for members during our season.
