EBRS masthead San Francisco Early Music Society American Recorder Society

Welcome! We hope you’ll join us soon in convivial music-making.

Join Us!

The East Bay Recorder Society (EBRS) is an association of recorder enthusiasts in the San Francisco Bay area. Recorder players from beginning to advanced levels are invited to join, to play music together and to learn more about the recorder with a different professional conductor each month (September-May or June). Please go to our "Join Us!" page for our membership form. But if you wish to attend for a first time as a non-member, it is free (with a $10 charge for addtional monthly meetings thereafter until you join).

Our monthly playing sessions for the 2019/2020 season continue January 5th, Sunday, afternoon with doors open at 3:45pm and downbeat at 4:15 with conductor Shira Kammen. The schedule of dates, locations and conductors and further information is posted on our "monthly" page.

The East Bay Recorder Society makes this work available to the recorder community in commemoration of Eileen Hadidian.  It may be used freely for any non-commercial purpose.  This compilation of accessible music for amateur ensembles includes duets, trios, quartets and a quintet drawn from a wide variety of public domain sources, selected, edited and arranged by Eileen Hadidian. Frances Feldon, Richard Geisler and Fred Palmer also contributed arrangements to the book.  The music comes from different cultural traditions and time periods, including Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque, American folk and spirituals, Celtic tunes. Please contact Suzanne Siebert if you wish a free copy.
